A collaboration dinner with Tomas Rahal of Mas Tapas and now QUALITY PIE. It’s a pop up in a pie shop! The Goochland Gastronome Society explores the regions of many countries, wines, cuisine and culture and on March 2, we are going to Spain.
The Goochland Gastronome Society is a club that is only several years old, but gastronomic societies have been around for centuries. ‘Txokos’ which literally means “a cosy nook in Basque,” first formed in the 1870’s and still flourishes to this day. Members get together to eat, drink, talk and even sing on a weekly basis.
This event starts with small bites ‘Pintxitos,’ followed by more small plates, moving to paella, and then whole grilled fish. Paired with sherries, delicious cocktails, and Basque wines. We finish with sweets, pies and dessert wines. This is an event that will jump start spring with a bounty of fine food and wine.
